Happy Halloween!

Emmett's costume was quite a challenge. It was actually Matt's idea to make Emmett into the Lorax. He has the perfect body shape and little button nose, that the Lorax just fit him. There is no pattern in existence (as far as I know...believe me, I hunted EVERYWHERE for one!), so I created one from a pumpkin costume pattern and some doll hair from the dollar store. It took a long time, but I am happy with how it turned out. Halloween ended up being a 3 day party this year. Holy cow! Emmett went to my mom's school carnival, ISU trunk-or-treat and our church's trunk-or-treat. He made a haul on candy and guess who ate 90% of it? um me! I have a real problem when it comes to candy in the house.. hence the reason we don't keep it stocked up! Anyways the binky has been a good laugh in our family. Pretty creative eh?

The Many Faces of Emmett...

Emmett is stinking hilarious... we were getting ready to leave the other day and Emmett was laughing and acting totally crazy. Emmett and I ran out to our backyard and took a bunch of pictures. These are   totally random and that's why I love them. This boys lights up the lives of everyone he interacts with. He is so special and we adore him!

Happy Fall everyone! It has been such a beautiful fall and with a busy little boy that likes to be outside, I am grateful! Emmett is having a difficult time grasping the concept that it is cold outside and that he can't just run out without shoes and a coat on. Poor kid is going to fall apart when he has to be inside all winter long! We are all doing really good. Matt has one year of school left and I am so so glad! Nothing terribly exciting is going on other than our awesome life together as the mini Matt Semons fam. Emmett and grammy had a good time digging out pumpkin guts the other day. I don't have any beautiful pictures of their creations because it is such a crummy day today and I really don't want to run outside to snag some pictures. Maybe I will throw them on with the Halloween pictures! I have been a busy bee with my photography and have had the opportunity to photograph a lot of people recently. I absolutely adore taking pictures. For every 50 that i have of someone else I have 500 of my own family. I wish that I could share them all with you. I need to get better about this blog! Summer- Part 1 -

We have had an awesome summer full of lots of adventures! This is part 1 of some of the highlights from summer that I haven't blogged about. Honestly, I am too lazy to put all of our pictures online so I hope that I grabbed some fun ones! Ok so I am not that lazy but I bet you would get bored of the at least 500 that I have taken! So this may be part one and only part one or there might be parts 2-10. We shall see! I have decided that I am that creepy person who is ALWAYS there with their camera... that one type of person that used to drive me nuts... I am now that person!  Oh well, it's what I do!

Emmett thinks trains are pretty cool so we took him to see an old Union Pacific train museum that was stopped in Pocatello for the day. I adore these two boys!
